Mohamed E. Elsayed
Drawing on 76 studies from 25 countries and over 167,000 participants, this 2024 systematic review finds that approximately 30% of the general population will experience at least one episode of sleep paralysis in their lifetime. Around a quarter of those episodes are accompanied by auditory or visual hallucinations.
