The "Haunt" Project: An Attempt to Build a "Haunted" Room by Manipulating Complex Electromagnetic Fields and Infrasound
Christopher C. French, Usman Haque
Seventy-nine participants spent 50 minutes in a purpose-built experimental chamber manipulated with infrasound, complex electromagnetic fields, both, or neither — without being told which condition they were in. Nearly 80% reported at least one anomalous sensation, but these reports did not significantly vary between the EMF and infrasound conditions. What predicted anomalous experience was individual suggestibility.
