The Key of Solomon
The Key of Solomon is not a single stable book but a varied family of magical manuscripts attributed pseudepigraphically to King Solomon. Greek witnesses survive from the fifteenth century, while Latin, Italian, English, French and other versions circulated and changed across early-modern Europe. The influential 1889 English edition by S. L. MacGregor Mathers is an editorial synthesis, not an ancient original.
