DaVinci Resolve is the professional video editing and colour grading suite used in Hollywood film and television post-production. The free version is not a hobbled trial — it is a professional-grade tool that competes with Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. For paranormal investigators with video footage to analyse, DaVinci Resolve offers capabilities far beyond what consumer video tools provide.

Video enhancement and colour grading should be applied only to analysis copies — always preserve original unmodified footage. Document all colour grade and enhancement parameters applied. Noise reduction is powerful but can suppress genuine detail — verify that enhancement is not removing the anomaly you are trying to analyse.
