Spectroid
Carl Reinke
Real-time audio frequency spectrum analyser with high resolution, logarithmic frequency display, and spectrogram history — one of the highest-quality free audio analysis tools available on Android.
RedVox Inc.
Scientific-grade infrasound and low-frequency acoustic recorder used in actual seismology and atmospheric research — the highest-credibility audio tool available for investigation use.
Developed by RedVox Inc. in association with the University of Hawaii for genuine scientific infrasound research. Records low-frequency acoustic data using the device microphone and barometric pressure sensor (where available), with timestamps synchronised to GPS time. Data is stored in a structured format compatible with scientific analysis tools. Has been used in peer-reviewed seismology and atmospheric research. The highest methodological credibility of any audio app available on smartphones.

Method is technically sound and produces reproducible data.
RedVox produces real infrasound data, but interpreting that data requires understanding of acoustic physics. Low-frequency readings below 20Hz may have many ordinary explanations including HVAC systems, traffic, wind, and building resonance. Always document environmental context.
