The Penha Verde Poltergeist, Sintra

In October 1982 the Quinta da Penha Verde, at the foot of the Serra de Sintra, was the focus of a widely reported "rain of stones" poltergeist episode, covered by Correio da Manhã and said to have drawn GNR officers and firefighters. Accounts centred on caretaker's wife Elvira da Conceição Teodoro, who had epilepsy. Recorded by PRN as a reported/folkloric case — historical context, not proof.
